There are currently 129 members of the Society, and our members include many of those involved in research in the field of back pain, including clinicians, surgeons, basic scientists, research methodologists and representatives from patient organisations and charities.

The Society for Back Pain Research was formed in 1971 to promote the study of all clinical and scientific aspects of spinal pain, including the neck, and to encourage research into its causes, treatment and prevention.
